As we are a unique company we often get many frequently asked questions and therefore the following information should be most helpful to you, as we have picked out the most commonly asked questions.
How long will my project take?
The project duration will be estimated at the contract stage of the process. It should be remembered however that any delays or changes to the schedule of works could affect this.
What are Building Regulations?
Building Regulations are what all building works have to adhere to, whether it is fire, escape and access or trip hazards. Everything is set out within the government building regulations, which all building work must be carried out to.
What are PDRs?
Permitted Development Rights refers to certain criteria’s that apply that ensure construction work can be carried out on your home without planning permission.
Do I need planning permission?
Within the initial Stage 1 process, you will be told whether planning will be needed or not. If planning is needed we take care of this paperwork for you.
Do you guarantee your works?
We offer a 6 months defects liability period for all of our projects. This period of cover takes into account faulty products sourced and fitted by DMB. Unfortunately it does not include any issues that have occurred as a result of pre-existing problems and work completed by a client’s supplier.
Why isn’t anything happening?
We are always working on your project to make sure it can move forward in the most efficient way possible, staying on time and to budget. While we may not be actively working on the project at your home, it does not mean we are not working on it in other ways.
